one
Groups from our staff will mark the route a few hours before the race starts with tapes, visible during the day and at night, and with wooden signs and biodegradable hand-painted marks in asphalted stretches (biodegradable paint disappears in 5 to 15 days).
two
As the last runners pass, a team behind them will remove all the eventual marks. This team will pick up the rubbish thrown away involuntarily, in order to avoid any incident with the runners.
three
All the participants will carry a reusable plastic glass (it will be part of the compulsory material) to be used in the refreshment posts from Sella, in the Muntanyes d’Alacant Ultra-Trail, and from Catamarruc, in the Mitja Lluna Trail. In that way, the use of disposable glasses and the amount of waste will be reduced.
four
We will not give water bottles. Each participant must have a tumbler or a hydratation bag as compulsory material. The water to fill the tumbler will be supplied by the organisation.
five
In the refreshment posts will be placed bins for batteries. However, it is advised to use rechargeable batteries.
six
All the refreshment posts are located in urban areas (Alcoy, Torremanzanas, Sella, Castell de Guadalest, Facheca, Catamarruc, Beniarres and Agres, or really close to; Font del Molí in Finestrat and Preventorio in Alcoy), except in Font del Arbre (Confrides), Coll del Pouet (Finestrat) and Alto de la Tronca. Dustbins have been placed in large numbers at each refreshment post and must be imperatively used. The organisation will pick the rubbish up to throw it in containers.
seven
Every participant will accept without reservation the current regulations. Any runner seen throwing his rubbish on the course will be penalised. It is imperative to follow the paths as signposted, without short-cutting.
eight
This is a pedestrian race. The hardness of the route, because of its extension and slopes, it makes necessary to alternate running and trekking to finish the race. After the race starts, there will be a distance between participants that will minimize the impact on the field.
nine
Due to the fact that the Alicante province has a big net of sign-posted paths, the 80% of the route pass through short routes (PR paths), and the rest is shared by BTT sign-posted routes (from Benimassot to Beniarres), livestock roads, paths and rural asphalted ways.
